Tour No. 16 : The Western Trident (Pathfinder Railtours)

Friday 24th To Sunday 26thJune 2005.

Pathfinder Railtours ran a 3 day Charter with D1015.

DAY 1 : First visit of a 1000 to Euston!!

London Euston to Exeter St.Davids via Willesden West London Junc-ActonWells Junc-Reading and down the Berks and Hants line to Exeter St.Davids.

DAY 2 : Exeter St.Davids to Llandrindod wells via Weston Super Mare-Bristol Tm-Cheltenham Spa-Birmingham New Street-Bescot-Wolverhampton-Telford Llandrindod Wells and return.

D1015 Suffered a defective TurboCharger whilst climbing the Lickey and 37427 was added as insurance from Bescot to Llandrindod Wells and back to Newport where the 37 was detached and D1015 took the Tour back to Exeter.

DAY 3 : Exeter St.Davids - Honiton-Salisbury-Basingstoke-Woking-Staines-Twickenham-Clapham Jcn-Victoria.

  

D1015 opens up in fine style with the first ever visit of a Whizzo at Euston.

D1015 waiting impatiently to leave Exeter St.Davids with an 0417 Departure time to Llandrindod Wells!!.

After suffering a defective Turbo Charger on climbing the lickey, 37427 was added as insurance at Bescot, the pair are seen on arrival at Llandrindod Wells.37427 was eventually uncoupled at Newport and D1015 Worked the Tour back to Exeter St.Davids  

 

Above : D1015 takes on fuel at Exeter Stabling Point, before working the final part of the tour to London Victoria..
