Up Front On D1015

The pictures below are taken from a cab ride in D1015 from Banbury to Birmingham whilst working Railtour 6 on December 7th 2002.  Many thanks to both EWS and the DTG for facilitating this opportunity.

Although we were following a unit and thus we were heavily checked, some high speeds were possible.  Here D1015 has 76 MPH on the clock, is at full power (1,530 RPM) and is accelerating hard. Picture_0635a.jpg (97090 bytes)
